The great de-hairing of 2009

For anyone who has not had the pleasure of meeting our "big dog", Duke you should know he is a 125lb English Yellow Lab. The difference between a regular lab and an english one is weight, head shape and the English version can shed enough to actually build another dog if desired!
Andrea and I spent a little post-dinner time tonight brushing loose hair from Duke. The pic above is just a good start to what is always a long process and one that's repeated throughout the year. As you can see, we could easily create a reasonably good size dog from these sheddings. Bet now he only weighs 124lbs!

With everything else going on these days in the world of Steve, keeping up with a big website, in addition to everything else, has lost it's appeal. Pretty much everything that matters to me, weather-wise, can be found in the upper right-hand side of this blog and that's my photo, video and contact links. Right below these links are some blogs of note (which I hope to update soon so if you are not listed, let me know and I'll get you added).
There will be a lot less weather to talk about in the near future with summer coming on, not that I was doing a helluva lot of wx-talk here this spring to begin with. Rest assured that hurricane season will ramp up and things will get a little more weather-active around here.

6/15/09 Big Chase Day

Well, what could quite possibly be the last decent chase set-up of the spring season for 2009 is one I'm sitting out. Yeah, I should have gotten out in it but after being mother nature's whipping boy all spring, getting the gumption up and taking the time away from other, seemingly more important things at this point, was hard to do.
I'll enjoy this on ChaserTV.com for the rest of the evening and wish luck to all who are out.

At oklahoma country club they post the names of those members who are not in good payment status. Seems a little tacky to me but the whole country club thing seems like a total waste of money so I guess I'll never have to worry about it. Anyway, one of the names on this list stood out to me; R.W. McQuarters. R.W. is a pro football player who graduated from my alma mater. Guess the economy is hitting everyone, eh?
